Da ich im Moment in den Genuss einer brauchbaren Internetverbindung komme, dachte ich, ich gebe euch ein kleines Update... Ich befinde mich im Moment in Ushuaia und habe noch ein paar Stunden Zeit, bevor ich zur Isla Navarino weiterfahre, um mich auf einen der südlichsten Treks zu begeben, die unser Planet (im Moment) zu bieten hat.

Since I'm being treated to some decent internet connection these days I thought I'd give you a little update about my whereabouts... I'm reciding in Ushuaia at the moment with a few hours off, before i continue to Isla Navarino to do one of the southernmost treks our planet has got to offer (at the moment that is).

Es ist zugegebenermaßen schon ein bisschen spät, um auf 2014 zurückzublicken, aber mein Ziel war es, diesen Post wenigstens vor Ende 2015 zu veröffentlichen - so gesehen könnte man sogar von einem Erfolg sprechen! Wie auch immer - sollte irgendjemand noch daran interessiert sein zu erfahren, wie mein vergangenes Jahr war, dann bitte einfach weiterlesen (keine Sorge - wenig Text, viele Bilder).

I agree, it may be a bit late to have a look back at 2014, but my goal was to at least publish this post before the end of 2015 – so I’d call it a success! Anyways, if anyone is still interested in what my past year was like go ahead reading (if that scares you – don’t worry, it will mostly be about pictures.)

31st of December. Top-Of and Best-Of lists all over the social webs – you’ve probably seen enough of these. Still, this is the time to look back at the past year and so I thought I’d tell the story of my year with the help of a few shots from behind the scenes.

I was asked by fellow austrian photographers at NatureHighlights.com to participate in their blog showcasing one nature image a day. I have been following the blog for a while already and have been impressed by the quality of the images on display since day one. Of course I accepted the offer and will be contributing images to the blog starting from today on a regular basis.

After returning from our first trip to Patagonia I somehow had the feeling that I had to go back. We had seen a lot, but I felt there was so much more. Even the parts that we had already visited had so much to offer, that I was more than tempted to go there once again. And so we went...

Wir sind gerade von einer sechswöchigen Reise nach Namibia und Südafrika zurückgekommen. Es fühlt sich gut an, zu Hause zu sein, nachdem wir 11.500 km gefahren sind und selten zwei Nächte am selben Ort verbracht haben. Trotzdem machen wir uns schon bereit, wieder aufzubrechen - diesmal nach Mittel- und Südamerika. Ich hoffe, ich schaffe es, den Blog zu aktualisieren, bevor wir uns wieder auf den Weg machen, aber die Zeit ist knapp und die Tatsache, dass es Weihnachten vor der Tür steht, hilft natürlich nicht.

We have just returned from a six week trip to Namibia and South Africa. It feels good being home after driving 11.500km and hardly ever spending two nights at the same place. But still we are almost ready to leave again – this time to Central and South America. I will try to update my blog before leaving again, but time is scarce and the fact, that it’s christmas time does not help either.

Today I decided to relaunch my blog. Not that it had ever been launched before, but at least I had posted a few pictures. Pictures.. Well, I guess a blog's purpose isn't just displaying pictures. Actually, I wouldn't need a blog if it were just about pictures.
